Who are we?
Petticoat dreams is a specialist online retailer, bringing the best in petticoats, bridal corsets to the WWW.

How do I order?
Online - if you click on the item you are interested in you will be taken to the online shop page for that item. Select your size, colour, quantity and other choices depending on the item you are wish to buy. Simple click buy and you will be taken through the order process. Be careful to select your correct shipping zone and payment method, (credit / debit card or cheque).

You can also order by telephone ( Mon - Thur 9:00am - 6:00pm and Fri (9:00am to 1:00pm) and post using the address details on our information page and our printable
"postal order form".

How do I pay?
You can pay by credit / debit card online, cheque or direct into our bank account (we can supply IBAN and Swift code numbers for international direct payments). All online ordering is done via secure SSL technology and we believe is the safest way to order. Your card details are encrypted and automatically presented to the bank. We do not even get to see your card details.

How do I know my shipping zone and costs?
Our shipping and delivery page lists all countries by zone and gives costs for that zone for different order values. If you are ordering online our system automatically calculated the shipping amount for you when you select your shipping zone.

You list the price in British pounds and Euros, what if my currency if different?
There is a currency converter available on every page of the online shop. If ordering by credit card the amount will appear as £'s on your statement and your card supplier will convert the amount to your local currency. Order online as normal. If you are paying by cheque we accept cheques in British pounds and in Euros. For other currencies we would ask you to email us to confirm the amount and any charges we might incur with our bank.

What about import duty?
If you live in the UK or the European Union there is no duty to be paid. For other countries we suggest you check with your local customs office. (Welcome to the European Union if you are from one of the countries that recently joined).

Remittance Terms: Goods must be paid for in full before they are dispatched.

An invoice / order confirmation is automatically sent to you when you order online, please check this and let us know immediately if there are any errors. We do not send further invoices, we are an online company and try to keep paper usage to a minimum. You must keep this confirmation email electronically or print it out and keep it in a safe place.

Shipping And Handling
All our items are shipped first class post, if this is unsuitable we can ship special delivery within the UK at extra cost. All our parcels are sent out with your order number on the address label and in "tough sacs" for added protection.
Our return address is on the label as Hall Display.

Delivery timescales:
Goods are sent in plain packaging and credit / debit card transactions appear as Hall Display on your statement.
Bridal petticoats and lingerie: Despatched within 7 - 10 working days.
Petticoats: As most petticoats are made to order delivery will be despatched 5 - 9 weeks from order date unless we notify you otherwise.
Corsets & slips: Corsets 10 - 15 working days.Returns policy:

Credit Card Security: We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using industry standard SSL encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site. This system is approved by the high street banks and the Consumers Association.

Use of Cookies We use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This includes using a "cookie" which is stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.

Privacy Policy: Petticoatdreams are committed to protecting your privacy.
We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) .
We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service.

We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have specifically signed up to our mailing list.

We will not supply any of your details to any third party now or in the future.

The type of information we will collect about you includes: your name, address, phone number, email address and credit/debit card details.

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. Personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance to the law.

Removing items from your shopping cart is simple, just press "VIEW CART" then "REMOVE"

If you want to change something after you start to checkout, simply cancel the order and start again.

Returns Policy:
Bridal petticoats and lingerie - all of these items can be returned for a full refund for any reason * (this includes the Flattering Me Corselette and matching briefs / thong).
Petticoats - any petticoats from our offers page or that are in standard colours we will refund for any reason in full *. Other petticoats are made to order and we cannot refund unusual colours or colour combinations in full, if in doubt email us for advice.
Corsets - corsets are made to order and expensive to produce. We cannot offer full refunds on these items. If you give us your correct sizings the fit should be perfect.

*Any returns must be returned within 7 days of receipt and in their complete original packaging and as sent out. We cannot refund goods returned without their complete original packaging, out with seven days of receipt, or damaged in any way. (There is a surcharge of £5 for goods returned unpackaged.)
We will not refund the shipping costs unless we have sent the wrong items or the goods are faulty.

If you wish to return a product, please e-mail us to let us know the item is coming back to us.

We would appreciate the following information with all returns.

In the event of any problem with the products supplied, you will be asked for the order number from the invoice.

We recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service. Note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error. 24 hours' advance warning is required for returns. We cannot be responsible for parcels that we do not receive back.

You should be aware that once we begin the delivery process, you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for services carried out by us (for example, postage and packing) As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item, as our goods are made to order we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee.

Most of our petticoats, unless otherwise stated, are made to order, as a result there is 5 - 9 week delivery time. We try to keep to this as much as possible, but due to occasional shipping problems from the USA this can happen. Fortunately this does not happen too often.

Please note: We try to be as flexible and helpful as possible and believe in good customer service. We are human and do make errors, were this happens we will do our utmost to rectify them as quickly as possible.

To cancel an order, write "Cancel order" on the back of the invoice. Package the items securely and send them to us with the invoice within 7 working days of the date that the items were delivered. We can only accept returns unworn and in the original packaging.
