Wonderful fifties look circle skirt in modern stretch fabrics - the best of both worlds! Shown with a 35 yard chiffon petticoat (the 835 petticoat trimmed with fluff) beneath, giving a nice fullness This skirt is available in 15 colours and gets lots of looks, you will be noticed. The circle skirt can be worn with a fuller petticoat, up to 60 yards and of course a cincher belt would complete the look. Three lengths to suit all styles, see it in the 50's fashion section of the online shop.

Events dedicated to the 50's like Americana in Nottinghamshire are great fun, click on the links below for pictures and information on this and other events. There is even a Miss Petticoat competition at one of these events!

Americana held in June (8th - 11th) in Nottinghanshire above and the American Show in also in June (18th - 20th) in Somerset (click image to the right) are huge family events.

The Golden Oldies festival - in its 15th year in 2004, a huge event in Wettenberg, Germany (includes a Miss Petticoat competition).

Rock&Roll Street  is a R&R weekender in Holland on the island Terschelling. The music is only fifties Rock&Roll, Rockabilly, Hillbilly, Jive, Doo-wop etc. The fifties are back again!

Petticoats are back - View a wonderful article from 1948 on the latest petticoat trends! Or have a look at an article from 1960 on the latest lingerie of the period, Underpinnings , with the new American fabric Lycra just beggining to appear. Girdles and corselettes are still very much the flavour of the day, I am not sure we would apply the term lingerie!
